The Van Halen Warner Bros. EP record listed above is incredibly a Mint (M) condition, rare, Van Halen "Looney Tunes" red vinyl sampler album we just located.  This record was issued by Warner Bros. (Warner Brothers) Records U.S. in the year 1978.  This item was originally issued as a promotional item to a targeted audience.  It was distributed to radio stations, representatives of the music press and selected music industry V.I.P.'s.  It was not made available to the general public at that time in 1978, but likely received radio broadcast time.  This copy, however, is till unopened.

The album was pressed on beautiful red vinyl.  The label is a special Warner Bros. "Merrie Melodies - Looney Tunes" printing.  The back of the cardboard sleeve has a WB logo and the line "STEREO 33 1/3 RPM / PROMOTION COPY / NOT FOR SALE / PRO 705".  This Mint (M), rare record has apparently been filed away in various locations since 1978, until we discovered it in a cardboard box of other records that had been mixed in and stored away in Near Mint (NM or NM-) to Excellent (EX) condition for liquidation.  Some were still Mint (M) in Shrink Wrap.  Our assumption is that these records were forgotten stock from a former record store and were acquired for sale by auction.

This is a rare Van Halen item, in this condition, and especially since it is still enclosed in its original Shrink Wrap.  The only visible imperfection we could find is a slight bend in one lower corner of the cover, perhaps caused through shipping and handling (from decades ago) or storage wear.  For that reason, we graded the cover as NM or NM- rather than M.  It can be seen through the shrink wrap, but we feel it does not detract from the beauty of an obviously well preserved, new record, in original Shrink Wrap.  The record label is Warner Bros PRO 705.  When we searched the Internet, we found very few (if any) copies of the record (in this condition) still available across the world, especially in the United States.  Several copies may still be available, elsewhere, for import into the U.S.  Don't miss this chance to add this Mint (M), rare, Promo Van Halen sampler album to your collection from a U.S. ebay seller!
