Van Morrison Astral Weeks
1st UK Pressing on Warner Brothers WS1768 Orange Labels
The Sleeve is in VG plus condition with a few laminate creases and some slight grubbiness to the white rear panel and the slightest record imprint. There are however no tears no feathering of the opening edge and the spine and top and bottom have minimal wear as shown. Overall a really nice example of this sleeve which is almost impossible to find with no laminate damage.
The labels are lovely and bright with no writing or any other issues. There are some spindle traces and the record has clearly been played but it has been looked after and there are no really nasty marks and it still retains a lovely shine. The audio reproduction is simply lovely and makes it very clear why these first pressings are so sought after and expensive. There is some background crackle (mild) in some of the quieter sections but the sound is lovely and rich and sounds so much better than later copies or Cd's in my opinion. Overall a lovely listen and a great addition to any serious collection.
