Description
Up for auction is this sought after LP from 1996 in it's only vinyl issue.
A compilation of Mose Allison songs as performed by Van Morrison, Georgie Fame, Ben Sidran and on a couple of songs Mose Allison himself.
The sleeve is EX, there is an issue of slight pitting in an area on the front. Very clean otherwise.
The inner sleeve is included and in NM condition.
Now the disc. Inspected thoroughly under a GU10 spotlight the disc is literally spotless. Likely played once or twice at most. Now, in the intervening years perhaps it has developed a lip or pinch warp, affecting playback of A1 and B1 on my turntable. Please see the last photo, it's really hard to photograph. Basically the warp/bend upwards is right at the very edge of the record.
If you use a moving coil cartridge with a light tracking weight, A1 and B1 will skip for about the first twenty seconds until the warp subsides. If you use a DJ/moving magnet type cartridge (usually accompanied by a heavier tracking weight) it will play back without issue.
So as an average I would grade the vinyl VG.
Please bid accordingly, this was relisted as I spotted the flaw too late.
PLEASE NOTE: I am away from the 17th-28th August so postage will be handled after then, probably on the morning of the 30th
No zero feedback bidders please. I will accept international bidders through the eBay global shipping programme.
Any other questions please ask. Good luck!
