1971 original recording THE VERY FIRST UK PRESS !!!

 

I would like to add ,before you start reading the description , that the previous owner of this record used to tape his vinyls, so you can rest assured that this record has a minimal playing history and looks to have been played only once or twice so that should make you realise what a rare beauty is on offer here.

 

PINK SCROLL Charisma label format! Nr MINT condition. Hardly a spindle trace. Freshly pressed appearance. Awesome visual!

 

Gatefold sleeve

THE Very first issue E J Day printed sleeve. Impossible to locate like this!Ex+ condition. No edge wear to report. Unlaminated thick card manufacture. No feathering to opening edge. Inner faces near perfect! Beautiful example!

 

Complete with MEGA RARE black inner lyric sheet. Normally found missing !! No creasing! No rips. No tears. Excellent condition. Scarce item as most are found missing. This insert is in superb condition. Absolutely remarkable with a very light handling history!

 

Vinyl

Thicker , heavy weight giant, early pressing.Excellent+ visual.One or two extremely light, non feelable surface/hairlines only.  Bobil hand etched in run off. Confirms a genuine first vintage pressing.

 

Audio

Recorded Trident studios. Amazed at how quiet some of the music passages are, so requires an exceptional audio to achieve an excellent perspective of this recording. These channels will not disappoint and are sensational to say the least ,with only the occasional lightest of static detected. Most of the music is heard through exceptionally clear channels. A beautiful aural delivery with very little to fault!!!! Fantastic instrumentation such as A R P synthesiser,  mellotron , saxes, electric piano, slide guitar and psychedelic razor which all contribute  to one of the best aural deliveries ever heard from this magnificent album classic !!!

 

Convinced that no one will  find a better example of this awesome rock classic.
