Description

An original 1st mono press of VF on the UK Atlantic label from 1967. Matrix A1/B1 - 1st cut. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original E J day cover. Also included is the original inner sleeve date coded to '67. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) Well, if you're looking for a really sweat copy this could be the one! It has clearly only seen very light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light superficial trails, but they the are really superficial and DO NOT feature in the audio at all. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Difficult to imagine going any better than this copy..it just plays real sweet the whole way through. The Atlantic pressings were renowned for audio quality and this copy does not disappoint. Interference is pretty much absent. Anyone familiar with this title will know there are plenty of low-key sections. A bit of tinkering here and an elongated organ chord chrod there. MOST copies are not going to play this clean ALL the way through. BUt this copy manages it and delivers a nigh on perfect rendition. If you're fussy with your audio and need to insist on ONLY a top-level copy..I can assure you this copy WILL deliver the good. Expect nothing more than a  couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side. Absolutely knock-out rendition...
Cover (Ex/Ex+) Well, wouldn't it be nice if all '67 original copies looked this darn good! Lovely clean and unaged front cover with no laminate lift or creasing. It looks as flat as a pancake and has that 'Newish' look about it. The rear looks marvellous and that's the area particularly that would normally suffer. But this copy is preserved like no other and has avoided the usual ageing process. All I can make out is super-light handling. It looks very smart indeed. Edge wear is very very slight. The spine is fully intact, but I notice that the 'D' of Fudge is partially warn away Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Lightest ageing. No splits.
