Condition: LPs Near Mint, packaging Near Mint—LP jacket has slight ding in one corner, otherwise crisp and clean, the entertaining notes on the music on the back very legible (in a heck of a small font!). Record played all of twice. Includes vintage soft poly inner sleeve promoting other Rhino releases. [This LP is temporarily posed with a generic paper sleeve.]

Behind the Music: God bless the good people at Rhino Records!! Their reissues have rescued simply fabulous material from potential obscurity. And this collection is essentially a batch of One Hit Wonders. The Electric Prunes! The Blues Magoos! The Seeds! The Count Five (“Psychotic Reaction”)! And you’ll thrill to discover that Ted Nugent made some reflective music (“Journey to the Center of the Mind,” by the Amboy Dukes) while he still had a mind!! Blue Cheer actually lasted a while, though I guess it’s true that “Summertime Blues” was their only real radio hit. I encountered this alleged World’s Loudest Band in a concert at Fillmore East and somehow I can still hear. (I also saw Emerson Lake & Palmer live three times, before they became a pitiful self-parody, and survived that too!) Damn, I’m cool! Hey, buy this record, darn it!
