Velvet Underground & Nico LP SIGNED Warhol Original STEREO Intact Psych Banana
Here in this listing, we are offering an Original STEREO copy of the Velvet Underground and Nico LP with the peelable banana cover created by Andy Warhol... still intact on the cover!
Released on Verve Records in March of 1967 the Stereo catalog number is V6-5008.
This copy has been signed for me by Maureen "Moe” Tucker, one of the original founding members of the Velvet Underground, back in the 1980’s at a solo show here in town.
Condition of the cover:
The banana has been peeled from the cover at one point in time, and reapplied… back in the day, by me.
There is a tear at the top of the stem of the banana and it has been taped back together years ago. (see photos).
The cover does show signs of age. Some of the corners are dinged, tiny splits at the top and bottom of the record pocket, slight discoloration.
It also shows some staining and ring wear. (Please see photos of all these details).
The spine is solid. There is no writing, and no stickers. This all being said, it's in pretty nice condition, very acceptable!
Condition of the record: Surface shows a few hairline marks and one larger one on the first song on side two, none of these affect play. Very little minor background noise, if any, can be heard. Retains a nice shiny surface sheen. Play Graded: VG+
Also included is the original Verve factory inner sleeve in excellent condition!
