This is the very scarce(Only 300 Worldwide Produced) 25th Anniversary Vinyl Reissue of Vengeance Rising's Debut album HUMAN SACRIFICE on a limited edition and hand-numbered picture disc. This band blew all of the other Christian contemporary 'rock bands' out of the water! Even arena heavyweights at the time STRYPER couldn't come anywhere near the brutality and ferocity that was Vengeance Rising, and fans began to tell others and before you knew it there were churchgoing kids all across America sharing cassette tape dubs of this crazy Christian death metal band they had all heard about. The music was on point and the guitars were crunchy, heavy, and had multiple blazing leads that sounded like your speakers might catch fire if left on repeat. The drums were produced rather well for that time period, lots of depth and percussive ambiance in the mix. And lastly, the vocals...what can I say, this was not like ANY religious music I had ever heard before and this album was the door opener for me. It all started with the cover and how it grabbed me. The artwork for the album was considered quite controversial at the time, and particularly so to the mother's that saw the cover and quickly demanded their local Christian bookstores ban the sale of the album, altogether. And, as a result, copies flew off of the shelves and were gone as soon as they were restocked. 25 years + and it's still a shocking album cover and still as controversial today. That very same artwork is what is emblazoned on the front side of the picture disc, and on the other is a look at the song titles and band photography reminiscent of the back artwork/layout of the original release. This particular copy is #177 of Only 300 produced worldwide, is in Near Mint condition, and comes with both a bagged Human Sacrifice Artwork Sticker as well as a certificate of authenticity showing the numbered sequence of production. The album sounds amazing and has zero skips.
