Description

Incredibly rare record from a legend who never got his due. Vernon was the older brother of seminal guitar figure Link Wray who along with a third brother, drummer Douglas, recorded Link voraciously throughout the 50's & 60's. These recordings (and Link's invention of the power chord) would lay the groundwork for all guitar rock to come after. Vernon generally stayed as Link's manager & producer, except for this record- his one and only full length lp- 1972's "Wasted." And it's pretty fantastic. A country-rock masterpiece of a hidden gem, even. But ya know what? I've seen it go for over 450 bucks here on ebay, and I owe more in taxes than I ever imagined. My loss, your gain! Vinyl is in very good shape (with minor scuffs that don't affect play); the jacket is also very good with a slight discoloring in the bottom left corner and a half inch split in the top right (see pic). Only one thousand were pressed and that was thirty eight years ago, so don't miss your chance! Shipping will be free within the U.S. Feel free to email with any questions. Thanks for looking and good luck!
