Description

Electric City was one of the earliest releases on the Vertigo label (catalogue number 6360 005, which, I guess, makes it the fifth release on the label).  Bob Downes was a flautist/sax player, who assembled other players under the name Bob Downes Open Music.  The LP features many well-known jazz players of the era: Kenny Wheeler, Ian Carr and the ubiquitous Chris Spedding.

This copy is in excellent condition - both the record and the cover.  The cover is in unusually good condition.  It is one of the early spiral label releases that came with a special spiral inner sleeve (see picture).

'Keep Off The Grass' is my favourite track.  As with another Bob Downes album, 'Deep Down Heavy', there is a strong connection with London in the music.
