Description
First UK pressing on cream/brown label UAG 29438. Vinyl is in Excellent condition and gatefold sleeve in Very Good+ with some signs of wear to edges and corners. Please see images. The group is generally considered to be one of the founders of the Krautrock scene and a seminal influence on its development. Sister album to Amon Düül II - Wolf City, this more jazz-fusion edged release was only later issued under the Amon Düül II name. Thanks to ebay member Michaelt73127 who provided me with the following information: "I believe this was the project Lothar Meid was working on, with producer Olaf Kubler, while ADII was recording "Vive La Trance," on which Meid was replaced by Robby Heibl. It's not clear who plays on the Utopia LP, on which all tracks are credited to Meid-Kubler, while the later reissues show the songs as credited to "AD II." But Renate does sing (uncredited) on the first track on the Utopia LP, so perhaps that's enough of a reason for the reissues to later show this as an "AD II" LP when it really isn't.
