“It's not difficult to see why there's a misconception that Eddie is playing guitar on Ray Stanley's Capitol F3451 "Let's Get Acquainted" because he did actually play on an earlier demo of this song.

Ray Stanley cut a lot of demo tracks at Goldstar for Sylvester Cross' publishing company, American Music, in early 1956 and Eddie played on a number of them. He played on the demo of "Let's Get Acquainted", but that demo was never issued and no copy of the session tapes are known to exist.

Ray Stanley re-recorded the song for this Capitol Records release without Eddie on guitar.” (Courtesy Eddie Cochran Records US Discography)
