Up For Auction Very Rare, UK Subs, C.I.D. Yellow 7" Vinyl Single, UK Release, 1978
A Side: C.I.D.B Side: Live In A Car & B.1.C
Picture cover in Excellent condition with the vinyl and labels all in Near Mint Condition.
An incredible chance for any lover of UK punk to own one of the hardest to find releases and most sought after singles of the punk era. They think only a few dozen have been produced of the yellow vinyl (see additional text at bottom from the UK Subs website).
Will be posted by Royal Mail Special Delivery, Tracked and Insured, UK Only. Will be packaged up in thick cardboard 7" single box.

This is the yellow version and not the orange version described elsewhere.
This is the first press.
The second press have another run out grooves ("A Porky Prime Cut" and "This Side Up The Side Below").

Several reports of yellow vinyl versions have been received by T&M. It is not known how these came to be pressed. A few explanations are possible:
Firstly, there was a mistake mixing the vinyl colour at the pressing plant and the first run of another colour, possibly the orange, came out the wrong colour. It is not known if the plant mixed the colours or bought the raw material already coloured.
The second and more probable is that the wrong colour was picked at the beginning of a run and changed once the mistake was noticed. Yellow copies were then either just left in or some were missed and made it into shops.
It's also possible that a short run of Yellow was done to see if there was enough demand before a decision to press another 10,000 was taken. This would make sense financially though it may still have been a mistake.
All this is speculation and educated guessing but considering the number reported only just makes it into double figures it's probably not far from the truth. All the other known colours were pressed in batches of 2,500 and all regularly turn up on auction websites.
