‘Cry for a Shadow’ was the only officially released Beatles single to feature Pete Best on drums and is probably the only fully instrumental Beatles recording recorded by the Beatles on 22 June 1961. They recorded the song at Friedrich-Ebert-Halle gymnasium, in Hamburg, Germany while they were performing as Tony Sheridan's backup band for a few tracks, under the moniker the Beat Brothers.
I bought this in London in 1975 at a second-hand record shop and only just recently discovered that I still had it. It has been now copied to MP3. The record is not mint but in very good condition with far better than average sound quality.
It features George Harrison on lead guitar, John Lennon on rhythm guitar, Paul McCartney on bass and Pete Best on drums.
