Here we have a strong playing VG/VG-  copy of rare 1932 Victor 24123 by HOAGY CARMICHEL & HIS ORCHESTRA - Mighty River/JOE HAYMES ORCHESTRA - Hot Jazz Pie..hot indeed!!...

In 1923 the Duncans created their signature roles in Topsy and Eva (Rosetta as the former, Vivian as the latter), a musical comedy derived from the novel Uncle Tom's Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe. For this production they wrote and introduced the songs "I Never Had a Mammy" and "Rememb'ring". A huge hit in its day, Topsy and Eva was subsequently adapted into a 1927 silent movie, directed by Del Lord with some additional scenes by D.W. Griffith.[4]

It's a Great Life

In 1929 Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer released their early sound musical The Broadway Melody, starring Bessie Love and Anita Page as the fictional Mahoney sisters. The film proved to be highly successful so MGM decided to follow it up with a similar film, this time starring the real-life Duncan Sisters in the leads. N- = like new (a 9 1/2 to 10 out of 10!), E+ = a virtually perfect copy with only minor signs of having been played ( a 9 out of 10), E = very slight signs of wear, maybe some minor scuffing and/or light scratches but a very clean copy with little groove wear ( 8 out of 10),E- = slightly above average copy, some groove wear and minor blemishes but a very decent copy ( a 6 1/2 to 7 1/2 out of 10), VG+ = an average copy, signs of use, some groove wear but still a decent copy ( 5-6 out of 10), VG = wear, scuffing, light scratches but a very playable copy ( 4 out of 10), VG- getting scary!...will play but is quite worn ( 3 out of 10), G+ = a playable copy but very very worn ( 2 out of 10), G through G- = in the words of my pal RUSS SHOR " a wall hanger!" P = a hunk of shellac which once might have been a phonograph record!
