Victor 78rpm Monarch FRANCESCO TAMAGNO Numbered "Morte D'Otello" Angel Back

Description

Up for auction we have a rare 1904 Victor Monarch 78rpm featuring famed 19th century Italian operatic tenor Commodore Francesco Tamagno.  This antique 10" record is serial numbered (1170) and has the G&T Angel impressed on the back along with a Victor Monarch copyright label.

This selection is "Morte D'Otello" by Verdi.  Record is in fair condition as it shows surface wear, a mark on the label, and what appears to be a spindel crack up and to the left of the hole but this does not show on the back of the record.

I have not personally tested these records as I only have players with steel needles and do not want to do any damage to the grooves of the records.  I'm sure that there will be popping due to the wear showing.

Please note:  Records are not professionally graded.  I attempt to give an accurate assessment of the condition of each record but they are in used condition.  I will try to note imperfections such as scratching as accurately as I can but wear such as that is subjective and two people may see them different ways..  I do not list records with chips or cracks unless they have some rarity or special signifigance and will prominently note those imperfections if present.
