Description
Victor Red Seal 1928 Hollywood Bowl Goossens FIRST RECORDING! Ultra Rare. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Media Mail.
A Hollywood Bowl Concert "Symphonies Under the Stars" Musical Masterpieces on Victor Records (Orthoponic Recordin)
There is not much out there about this recording, but in the 90s it was found in a thrift store by a member of the LA Phil and it was then rerecorded, digitized and rereleased.
What I have found is that this is a above average recording for the time and still sought after.
It's historic significance is that this is the VERY FIRST RECORDED CONCERT AT THE HOLLYWOOD BOWL, a place where hundreds of recordings have taken place over the years.
The book has water damage and spine damage as you can see in the pictures, one of the record labels has some off colors from water damage as well.
I am not a professional grader, but there are no scratches on any of the platters and minor if any wear. For how old these records are I don't think you can ask for better condition.
Records will be sold as is, shipped in the book and packed in bubble wrap.
