Description

Private pressing #K-1278. 1967 LP promoting the Viewlex NAVA Sales meeting to be held on Saturday July 15th at Palmer House in Chicago. Viewlex is a business selling audio visual products. Side 1 is a side-long piece of Ben Perez (treasurer of Viewlex) telling the theme of the meeting - "Challenge to Communicate." He says 1967 should be heaven or don't wait for 1968, it too should be great! Followed by a salesmen having an open ended conversation with another salesmen about the meeting. Jack Stein from "the south" comes on, promoting the meeting. The Monkees theme song comes on, fades out and kiddies Rick, Ron & Diane change the lyrics to fit their salesman dad's needs of needing a vacation. Next up is Jay Pearlman, promoting the meeting and stating that the musical group Four Watts would not be entertainment at the convention this year. Then a salesmen's son speaks a short bit about promoting the meeting. Warren Pollock of  6 months customer service at Viewlex can't wait to meet in person the folks he's been communicating with via phones and letters. Dan Schecter talks a bit, then Monty Abrams (President? VP?) wants the salesmen to be there, too. Total length 23:00. Side 2 is titled "Music to Count Your Profits By" featuring Project 3/Command Records artists: Enoch Light with Waltzing Matilda and Easy to Love, The Command All-Stars with Bewitched, Tony Mottola with Roman Guitar, Doc Severinsen & His Orchestra with When It's Sleepy Time Down South and lastly, Urbie Green with Let's Fall in Love. Vinyl is in VG++ condition. Cover is in VG+ condition. The paste on the front cover has become wavy.
