Condition: My description is based on sight, I am no expert, but will give you details galore! I didn't play the album. The vinyl is VERY GOOD! It is not mint, but very nice. There are a few surface marks (one longer one) and a few abrasions like where the spindle of the record player kept making tiny marks in the label. The vinyl, I took pictures for you in natural light, is pretty great. I'm no judge of condition, but am particular when describing my items. The record label has the "SILVER" RCA Victor Dog (Nipper, I think his name is) Emblem with the words "Long Play" on the bottom. There is a number stamped in the smooth vinyl trail off and I tried to get a picture. If you need the numbers, they are G2 PP1283 5S and G2 PP1282 6S.
From what I understand, this is the RARE First or Early Pressing because there is a deep groove indent inside the label itself about 1/2" in (see photo). I don't think this is the original dust cover, yet it protected the record all these years. It is white paper, not clear plastic. This , of course, is not a reissue album, but you must have guessed that by now.
The cover itself is VERY VERY GOOD! On a side note....What a DOLL he was!!!! The cover is the very thick original cardboard ( I know because I make purses out of the covers and this one is thick!) There are no creases or abuse to the cover. No wear in the usual spots, like around the ring shape of the record. No bends! The black areas are very nice! Usually the black areas show wear first, but this one is really nice! Yellowing is not an issue, no one has written on the cover, no holes have been punched, no stickers or sticker residue anywhere! There is one short "coffee" stain on the back (see photo) and there is a slit on the top edge of the cover. It is 3-1/2" long (see photo) plus a tiny slit at the very center top where the record comes close to the cover. It's very hard to see! There is the tiniest split at the bottom opening, more from regular use (frayed cardboard) than an actual split through the paper.
ALL IN ALL THIS IS A BEAUTY!!!!
