Fantastic much sought after original set of East Side Story Volumes 1 to 12. I bought these as a set. They have not been put together piecemeal style.
Classic soul, R&B, doo wop oldies from classic artists. These records are the real deal. 
The records are in very presentable condition considering their age. The vinyl is ALL shiny. Most records are visually VG+ or better, but there are a couple that I would grade VG in terms of their appearance because there are surface hairlines and a few marks. However, I played them through on my Audi Technica Stereo and there were no skips. Some pops and surface crackles in places but if you know this set, you will know that the sound quality on the vinyl recordings was far from studio perfect. The subsequent CDs sound a little better. Like I say, no skips. Volume 12 definitely has the most hairlines and surface marks but certainly nothing deep or feelable and it does not skip. (see photo of vinyl)
The labels are all in Excellent condition with no rips tears or writing.
The Covers are in VG- to VG condition. There is some creasing. There is edge wear. There is some moisture staining and discoloration on the back side of about 5 covers. There are a few that are just starting to split at the seam but certainly nothing terrible. There are a few pen marks on the back of volume 1 (Five tiny pen marks), Volume 4 (3 tiny pen marks), Volume 9 (almost invisible marks), Volume 10 (almost invisible) and Volume 12 (this has the most pen marks next to various songs)  They are all very presentable, and I think you will be pleasantly surprised because I think I am being conservative.

Not sure, but I think Volume 9 might be very rare because the label is the same on both sides even though the record plays two different sides.
