Here's a vintage punk rock single of the 1980 release by Eddie And The Subtitles from the OC. Contains the classic punk anthem- "American Society" and a fantastic cover of "Louie Louie". Both songs appeared as different (wimpier) versions on the Skeletons in the Closet LP. This single contains the original line up and both songs rock! No Label Records. 7", 45 rpm. 1980. Approx. 500 made.

The stunning cover art was done by infamous punk illustrator Shawn Kerry who did quite a number of punk record cover and flyer designs, and was utilized extensively by bands like the Germs, Circle Jerks and D.O.A.

I'm the original owner of this vinyl single. Purchased at the time of release at the tiny original location of Zed Records in Long Beach. My teenage friends and I would make periodic pilgrimages from Orange County to this record store- the closest to us that specialized in Punk and New Wave music at that time. Of course I played this several times at that time, but it's been in storage since.

Record is in practically pristine condition in its original 1-fold paper sleeve; it may have had a plastic exterior sleeve, but it's missing. I just now played the record and it sounds fantastic- no skips or scratches. I took very good care of my music.

Eddie probably did more for OC punk than anyone. His own band never got the recognition of the Adolescents or Social Distortion, but he kept at it anyway.

I'm currently auctioning other rare vintage Punk Rock and New Wave singles and other music items from my large collection of memorabilia acquired during the day.
