Description
Extremely rare, vintage, and yes, slightly bizarre, this record from 1958 is an advertisement for Merlite Fire Protection Systems.
The two sided program contains a very harrowing and graphic account of how "good citizens" must protect their families from the dangers of household fires. Before the age of 9-1-1, listeners are urged to take precautions such as memorizing the number of local fire department, correctly storing matches, and making sure television sets don't overheat. Most importantly, they should make sure to avoid FFI..."False Fire Information."; and, of course buy a Merlite Fire Protection system immediately!
Unintentionally campy, this recording is a fun (and oddly, informative) glimpse at an era gone bye! Perfect gift for a collector!
