Originally recorded at La Scala in 1950, this well regarded recording features performances by Ferdinand Franz, Albert Emmerich, Sieglinde Wagner, Kirsten Flagstad and Max Lorenz with the Orchestra conducted by Wilhelm Furtwangler.
