Offered for auction here is a* Heavy Acid Psych• Detroit Rocker* 1970 LP THE THIRD POWER Believe.
THIS IS THERE ONE AN ONLY ALBUM. The 1st pressing BY VANGUARD'Recordings For The Connoisseur'.
They were pretty popular in the Detroit local scene of the late 60s. Yrs after this Album ,Drew Abbot, This Power Trio's Guitarist, would later Meet and become a Staple for Bob seger(@nd the Silver Bullet Band).
This Album is revered by "Us Head People" as an Exceptional example from the HEAVY/ACID Archives. This album Is personally one of my favorites that came out of the psychedelic movement of the 60's up through around '75.
This album certainly has a nice BLEND OF HIGHS and LOWS.
"GETTING TOGETHER" ....The First Song introduces us to this POWER TRIO as ABBOTT is WAILING GUITar accompanied with its wammy bar.... automatically grips you in. Well if your a fan U KNOW that they GIVE US An AWESOME SEE- SAW/High~LOW~High journey.
GRADINGS OF RECORDS ARE DIFFERENT IN THE EYES OF EVERYONE. YOU CANNOT MAKE A SOUND DECISION ON GRADE ALONE BUT ALSO BY READING THE SELLER'S NOTES.
I EITHER SEE A RECORD AS : No GOOD.....VG.....or NEAR MINT or SEALED. Mint DOES NOT EXIST.
Near Mint ......I never use because if i see a speck of imperfection I VIEW IT AS VERY GOOD.

Why VG? Edge wear on all sides, ring wear on the front side, and white freckles on both sides. The original sleeve has about an inch seam split on both sides
The RECORD...........VG
THE Record I find to be very attractive. It looks clean and shiny along with the VANGUARD labels,inspite of a couple of minor spindle wear spots near the opening. Since I GRADE This as VG one should expect surface marks/hairlines/scuffs.
LET ME TELL YOU that the marks/hairlines are few and far between and that both sides are Not Cluttered with full shades of hairlines. I would consider this record to be more along the lines of the top echelon of very good ratings.
