Brand New "GEM Dandy" Vinyl Record Cleaning System See website: www (dot) hifigem (dot) com It is simple, effective and economical. The G.E.M. Dandy Hydraulic LP Cleaning Apparatus Cleaners that touch the LP can cause damage by flattening or distorting the lands, the delicate area that separates the grooves, distorting the information locked in the grooves. Dirty / crusty pick up tubes will damage the lands. The inrush of air developed by a vacuum cleaner can dry an amount of the cleaning agent before it is removed, leaving a residue behind. With the GEM Dandy the LP is rinsed with fresh water, not contaminated water from a dip tank This system uses a simple device that cleans the record without touching it. This is a form of hydraulic cleaning. The LP is mounted on a rotating mandrel. Protective label covers repel the water. The Super Solution agent is applied to the LP surface to loosen the contaminants. A jet of water from the Jet Hose is applied to the grooves at a angle that flushes away the debris.
