MINT The record is as new – perfect, and considered, never played. The cover and any inserts are in perfect condition.
EXCELLENT = EX The record is nearly perfect, has been played but there is no damage or visible surface marking. May have scant fine lines on the record inherent with manufacturing, but will not have any effect on the sound reproduction. The cover and any inserts are undamaged
VERY GOOD = VG The record shows signs of use, but displays no major drop in sound quality despite visible surface marks and possibly some light scratches. The cover may have very light creases or show very minor ring wear, scuffs, but is considered in very good condition perhaps for its age
GOOD = G The record has obviously been played a lot, but displays no major drop in sound quality, despite visible surface marks or light scratches. The cover may be creased a little, show light ring wear and/or frayed at the opening, or unglued.
PLAYABLE /GOOD = PG The record has been played so much or so poorly handled that the sound quality has been affected, perhaps with some distortion or clicks due to scratches but will still play through without jumping/skipping on a properly set turntable. The cover and inserts may be folded, have minor tears and/or splits at the edges.
PLAYABLE/ USED The record is still playable, but has not been looked after there is a lot surface noise/clicks from scratches and imperfections. The cover and contents are likely be torn, stained and/or defaced, possibly with chunks missing. An item of this quality would need to be rare or collectable to be offered for purchase.
