??Has an 'older-sounding' quality--no skips, real good- but background noise more evident. A primitive sound to it and an amazing and rare ballad of the Titanic disaster.
Clear vocals and harmonica, an intense listening experience.
??Some blemishes and scuffs, but an enjoyable listening experience, for sure.
?*George Reneau was not a stranger to hard-times and playing his guitar and harmonica on the streets of Tennessee for spare change. He only recorded from 1924 to 1927 and when times got rough, blind-from-birth musician George Reneau went back to street singing to survive.
In 1933, at the age of 31 or 32 and in Knoxville, George would catch pneumonia from playing his guitar in the December cold for passers-by. Within three days, he was gone.
