Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. SUPER RARE Original ADVANCE RELEASE WHITE LABEL PROMOTIONAL vinyl on the rare STRAIGHT RECORDS LABEL in thick gatefold from 1971 featuring the Alice Cooper 'thumb/penis' front cover that was quickly withdrawn when sales of the classic album quickly soared into mass popularity and on display at all the big retail outlets in the country! It is the highly collectible very first pressing of the legendary "LOVE IT TO DEATH" was issued on the old Straight Label" before Warner Brothers put it on their major roster label.
***The white label promotional LP is the first to be pressed from the freshly cut masters and contains the best sound quality. Very few white label promotionals were released, sent only to selected radio stations. This is a very rare collectible of a terrific classic rock collectible!

Alice Cooper's third album, Love It to Death, can be pinpointed as the release when everything began to come together for the band. Their first couple of albums (Pretties for You and Easy Action) were both largely psychedelic/acid rock affairs and bore little comparison to the band's eventual rip-roaring, teenage-anthem direction. The main reason for the quintet's change was that the eventually legendary producer Bob Ezrin was on board for the first time and helped the Coopers focus their songwriting and sound, while they also perfected their trashy, violent, and theatrical stage show and image. One of the band's most instantly identifiable anthems, "I'm Eighteen," was what made the album a hit, as well as another classic, "Is It My Body." But like Alice Cooper's other albums from the early '70s, it was an incredibly consistent listen from beginning to end. The garage rocker "Caught in a Dream" as well as the ass-kicking "Long Way to Go" and a pair of epics, the Doors-esque, trippy "Black Juju" and the ominous - eerie "Ballad of Dwight Fry" showed that Alice was easily in league with other high-energy Detroit bands of the era (MC5, Stooges).

CONDITION: The Cover: The CENSORED 'penis/thumb' gatefold cover is VG+, camera not picking fine details up well but there is some light wear on front,,,with clean VG++ back cover and otherwise the entire cover is all very stiff and solid, no seam splits, no bends, no writing anywhere. DJ Song Titles PROMO strip across bottom front cover which only raises the value as a unique limited promotional ...Looks great(!) within the thick outer plastic sleeve that is supplied.
The Vinyl: on the 'rare' white label Promo Straight Records' label is VG++, vastly clean, only some light superficial top surface small scuffs, nothing even close to bad, nothing deep, first notice is the all shiny gloss on both sides.
