Description
Wade Mainer was an American country singer and banjoist. With his band, the Sons of the Mountaineers, he is credited with bridging the gap between old-time mountain music and Bluegrass and is sometimes called the "Grandfather of Bluegrass". This record is credited to "Wade Mainer and his Little Smilin' Rangers" that only produced eight sides in 1937 before becoming "The Sons of the Mountaineers". This record is in Very Good Plus (VG+) condition with sheen and no scratches, chips, or marks. Playback is very clean. Runout includes the catalog numbers, B-7274-A and B. The record is in an original Bluebird sleeve. Well packed with extra cardboard and bubble wrap. From the Country Western Music Collection curated by Mulligan Books and Records.
