Wade Mainer and the Sons of the Mountaineers cut a big load of records for Bluebird in the 1930s, and they’re a wealth of doggone real country songs , with sessions that showed the band weren’t content with merely waxing their next single. Most dates yielded nearly ten new tunes.

This one’s from a session in Charlotte, N.C. on October 12, 1936. The songs here are “Hop Along Peter,” and “Dear Daddy, You’re Gone.”

This is being sold to raise some needed funds for the Texas Musicians Museum. We appreciate any help in our mission to preserve music.
