Description
WAGNER: Der Ring des Nibelungen
Impossibly Rare find !!!
The original DECCA complete 4 box set,
complete with libretto booklets.
Near Mint Condition
The individual near mint boxed sets sell for big money these day, but the complete set in near mint must be an extreemly rare opportunity for real hi-fi audiophile opera fan.
This are the definitive early 60's Decca Recordings, thought by many to be the finest vinyl recordings ever made.
Needs a classy Hi-Fi and Turntable to appreciate just how good these recordings are.
The condition of all the discs are virtually unplayed and would credit accurate description of NEAR MINT. No marks, or blemishes, sonically perfect.
These have been stored since early 1970's, in dry conditions, all booklets in as new unmarked condition except Sigfried which has a few blemishes, one loose page, but still very good. Outer boxes as good as you can expect for 40 year old items, very tidy, no rips or serious marks.
World Class performances from :
Birgit Nilsson, Wolfgang Windgassen, Hans Hotter, George London, Kirsten Flagstad, Eberhard Wächter, Gustav Neidlinger, and others.
Vienna State Opera Chorus
Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra
Sir Georg Solti (conductor)
