Description
For sale are four (4) vinyl copies of LPs in the Switched-On/Moog Synthesizer series by Walter/Wendy Carlos!
Plus two bonus LPs (see below)!
The four albums in this lot demonstrate the rich texture and incredible sound of the Moog Synthesizer (created by Bob Moog in the early 1960s, see pictures)!
One of Bob Moog's earliest musical customers was Walter/Wendy Carlos (see pictures), whom he credits with providing feedback valuable to further development.
Carlos first came to prominence in 1968 with Switched-On Bach, a recording of music by J.S. Bach assembled phrase-by-phrase on a Moog synthesizer, at the time a relatively new and unknown instrument. The album earned three Grammy Awards in 1969. The albums in this lot were subsequent releases following in the tradition.
The four albums below are included in this auction.
The vinyl have very light wear. Two of the jackets are still in shrink. One of the albums features favorites from Bacharach and The Beatles!

Switched-On Bach (Columbia, MS 7194)
Vinyl plays EX with very light wear.
Jackets are VG+ with light corner wear, still in shrink and with two separate hype stickers!
The Well-Tempered Synthesizer (Columbia, MS 7286)
Vinyl is EX with very light wear.
Jacket would be EX if not for a spot of discoloration on the front and back from removed stickers. Includes original insert!
Switched-On Bach II (Columbia, MS 32659)
Vinyl plays close to EX, some light surface noise on outer tracks, with very light wear.
Jackets are VG+ with light edge/corner wear!
Walter Carlos By Request (Columbia, M 32088)
Vinyl is VG+/EX with light to moderate surface noise because this is a quiet album so you hear everything. May have a slight concave storage bow.
Jacket would be EX if not for light discoloration along opening and a bit near the bottom, Still in Shrink!
Bonus albums play VG+ with a bit of surface noise here and there:.
