UP NEXT - SOME HIGHER END COLLECTABLE 1950s ROCK-N-ROLL AND ROCKABILLY LPS! This is a reasonably priced original 1958 U.S. FIRST PRESS CAPITOL RECORDS RIGID VINYL 12-TRACK self-titled debut LP from 'The Queen Of Rockabilly' Wanda Jackson. It is Capitol Records catalog number T 1041, black late 1950s-era Capitol labels with rainbow border and vertical 'Long Playing High-Fidelity' inscription. Tracks: Day Dreaming, I Wanna Waltz, Heartbreak Ahead, Making Believe, Here We Are Again, Long Tall Sally, Just Call Me Lonesome, Let Me Go Lover, Money Honey, I Can't Make My Dreams Understand, Happy Happy Birthday, Let's Have A Party. This LP occupied an honored place in my personal collection for quite awhile until I recently obtained a slightly better condition copy - Condition of record is a low to mid VG with a fair amount of visible surface marks which cannot be felt and which do not affect play and a very few light surface scratches which can be felt and which may cause a few slight ticks, no skips - This rigid vinyl pressing plays through very nicely with just some light scattered surface noise and the few aforementioned slight ticks. Condition of cover is a mid VG+ with the following flaws: a 2" split at the top of the spine, a 3" split at the left side of the top edge, and a 1" split at the right side of the top edge (I have carefully and neatly repaired these splits by taping from the inside), a couple of small areas along the right edge of the front cover where the top layer of paper is worn away, some contact wear, and some wear and flaking along the edges and on the corners, there is no writing, tears, or stickers. This LP would be a choice and essential addition to any 1950s rockabilly or roots rock-n-roll record collection!
