Description


The Legendary conductor Felix Weingartner gives masterful lyrical interpretations of the Four Brahms Symphonys, leading the London Symphony Orchestra. These performances were recorded in the late 1930's and early 1940's, and were brought to modern fidelity standards and issued in 1960 on these 4 excellent LP's. It's rare to see the complete set of 4 LPs on offer.. 
Weingartner knew Brahms, and early in his career conducted the symphony No 2 with Brahms in the audience, Brahms said he never heard it performed better. The interpretations are authentic. 
The vinyl is Near Mint, there are no scratches, scuffs or spindle marks across the 8 sides of this set. Each record is placed in a poly sleeve for it's protection, and placed in its individual jacket. See Photos
The individual Jackets are Very Good Plus, they are overall clean and free from ring wear. There is some shelf wear on a few of the corners. There is no spine printing on these jackets. The jackets hold the records securely. See Photos.
