West Virginia Slim Electric Blues Band -(S/T)- Kent KST-543
Original classic Kent lp of psych-era blues very much in the style of Lightnin’ Slim. Something of a mystery, though; I can’t find any listing of personnel, etc, though the cover photo, if it is to be believed, shows an unusual (for the time) mixed-race band ala Butterfield. Suffice it to say that this is rough hewn and garagy without ever sounding incompetent or amateur; it’s a little hidden gem of an lp. Includes the hilarious “My Baby’s Just Like A Freeway”.
Gatefold cover has minor wear, disc is VG++ except on side two, which has some scratching across several tracks that causes some clicking but plays through.
After a hiatus, during which we moved and built our Permanentrecords library/vault/watering hole, we are finally up and running as an Ebay seller again. Welcome back to all our old friends and hello to new ones. We’re going to try things a bit differently this time. We will still feature great, rare, obscure, strange and little-known vinyl, but we’ve decided on no reserves and a very low opening bid on even the choicest stuff. We’re hoping that this will keep you coming back to us for the chance at some genuine bargains and maybe even steals, as we allow each item to find its natural price. We are also hoping to expand into some of our other interests in the near future, like vintage clothes and books. We will of course still try to maintain the same high standards of service and customer satisfaction. Good hunting!
