WHIRL-AWAY Demonstration Record - The 1st 45 Release Ever ! Promo Only RCA 1949.



Extremely scarce promotional only 45 , THE “1st” release of a 45 ever exclusively sent to record stores promote the brand new RCA 7” 45 series


These were only sent to record stores to help demonstrate the new 45’s that were to be released in early 1949. As with many record store displays, especially early ones, they were likely thrown out and not many have survived as this specific disc was meant to be played continuously as part of the promotional display.

The vinyl is in VG condition and plays good still with no skips , 1 sided disc only, The other side has a blank label and blank groove area



Includes a sample of several songs, including Tchikovsky's - "The Sleeping Beauty" (appears 4 times!), Vaughn Monroe singing "Ghost Riders In The Sky" and the Eddy Arnold recording "Bouquet of Roses"
