Description
This is a very good original US pressing copy of the debut LP by British experimental rock group White Noise, released in 1971 (two years after in appeared in the UK). Featuring members of the BBC's Radiophonic Workshop, the record is an intriguing blend of pop (in particular on side 1) and experimental rock, recalling American groups like Fifty Foot Hose and the United States of America. The jacket has light rippling in the front cover slick along the top and bottom seams, light ring, corner, and spine wear, and light staining on the front cover (EX). Visually, the disc has several hairline scrapes/scratches, and some fingerprints and scuffing/loss of glossiness. Side 1 plays with mostly light surface noise and an occasional pop, while side 2 plays with mostly moderate surface noise and some mostly light popping -- overall VG(+). The record comes with the original label inner sleeve.
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their sleeves. The sleeves have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded discs except where otherwise noted.
