Pictures: Click here to view photo gallery General: An absolutely stunning original mono pressing. The audio is perfect with no background noise whatsoever, the run-ins are completely silent as are the inter track grooves. Gleaming black heavyweight vinyl and flat as a pancake. Unbelievably rare in this condition.
Released on December 15th 1967, only the first 500 copies came with the poster which this has unfortunately lost over the years but it does still have its original poster sticker and to find an early copy still in this condition is exceedingly rare. It is complete with its original Patents Pending inner sleeve also in superb condition and has obviously hardly been played.
The absolutely 100% original 'Free Psychedelic Poster Inside' sticker has perfect 1 inch x 1.5 inch dimensions. As only 1000 stickers were required in total it is very unlikely that more than one batch was ever printed as only a few sheets of stickers would be necessary. Be very wary if you see a copy with the poster sticker dimensions given in centimetres as these are almost certainly much later repro additions and also have a heavier font. Metric sizes weren't widely used in the UK print industry until the very late 1960s at the earliest.
The LP of course comes complete with its Roger Law (Spitting Image) designed sleeve where as one of his very first commercial commissions he persuaded Roger Daltrey to sit in a bath full of cold baked beans after John Entwistle (who was supposed to be in the beans) showed up late.
Put this on your Linn system and turn the volume all the way up to ELEVEN! Audio quality: Unless otherwise stated below the audio quality of records I sell will always be at least excellent. Grading (vinyl): Mint- (one or two extremely light hairlines and surface marks) Grading (labels): EX+ (a few very light spindle marks) Grading (outer sleeve): EX+ (very light creasing, very light corner wear, the sticker has very slight damage to its top right corner) Grading (inner sleeve): Mint- (very light creasing, slight age discoloration) Summary: An absolutely superb copy. Click any of the images below for more detailed photos of the sleeve, inner(s), labels, and inserts (if applicable)
The photos are of the actual item(s) for sale. All flaws, if any, are fully described above and gradings are strictly as per the RC Price Guide (+ and - are used to highlight strengths and weaknesses). I do not knowingly sell records that either jump or are warped unless these faults are described in detail above.

The above rates include a small handling fee. This covers the cost of materials, the time to pick and package the item(s) securely, and transport to the Post Office. You only pay what it costs but this is not just the price of the postage. Emails requesting postage cost breakdowns or even cheaper rates will not receive a reply.
All items are carefully inspected and professionally cleaned on a Keith Monks Record Cleaning machine (as used by the BBC) prior to despatch. Records are shipped in heavy duty industry standard record mailers with additional protection to ensure that they reach you in exactly the condition they were despatched. LPs are removed from both outer sleeve and inner sleeve and placed in a shipping inner and outer sleeve to prevent seam splits in transit. In the unlikely event that you're not completely satisfied with any item simply return it within seven days of receipt in its original condition and packaging for a full no-quibble refund (you must pay the return postage cost).
Despatch:
All items are normally despatched within five working days of receipt of cleared funds. UK buyers paying by cheque please allow at least a further seven days for cheque clearance. For international shipments please also allow time for customs clearance within your country. Requests to falsify values on customs declarations will be ignored.
Payment terms:
In order to minimise the risk of fraud, PayPal will ONLY be accepted as a payment method for sales which have an aggregate value of £150.00 or less. This means that if your total invoice value (excluding postage and packing), whether it is for one item or more than one item, exceeds £150.00 payment by PayPal will NOT be accepted and any PayPal payment will be treated as non-payment and refunded. Payment of such invoices must be with cleared funds only. This means by a cheque drawn on a UK bank, by bank transfer (IBAN, Swift details available to the winning bidder on request), or by other methods acceptable to both parties. These terms override any other payment options shown elsewhere on this page. By placing a bid for this item you accept that you understand and agree to these terms. Absolutely no exceptions.
I am always interested in buying high quality collections of LPs. If you have a collection to sell please use the 'Ask seller a question' link to send brief details (quantity, type of music with a few examples, and a contact email address) first.
