Description
Incredible rare original Dutch 1966 LP by the legendary avantgarde free jazz artist Willem Breuker : "Litany for the 14th of June 1966". Contemporary jazz from Holland. His debut LP !!! He was only 21 years old. See scan.
Tracks: Litany for the 14th of June 1966, Life is music is love is all, Psalm 64, Time signals and sound density V. // Implication and piano distance, Composition 19 in silvergrey, Composition 30, Composition 28. Superb modern avantgarde free jazz !!!
One side features an orchestra, and the other a quintet. Orchestra side features Hans Dulfer (tenor), Kees Hazevoet (piano), Arjen Gorter (bass), Pierre Courbois (drums) and about 13 others. Quintet side features Misha Mengelberg (piano), Dick van der Capellen (bass), Victor Kaihatu (bass), Pierre Courbois (drums, perc). Breuker plays clarinet, bass clarinet, soprano, alto, tenor, and baritone on both sides. The cream of the Dutch free jazz crop is presented here !!!
VERY RARE ITEM !!! Much rarer than the German issue on Wergo! This is the very first issue anywhere !!! ONE OF HOLLAND's RAREST JAZZ LP'S !!!
Label: Relax 33004. Promo copy. Has a "not for sale" stamp on one side of the label. Comes in fold-out cover. Condition record/cover: ex- to ex (some incidental soft pops only)/ex- (some light edgewear and some small damage from removed sticker on front). IMPOSSIBLE RARE !!!
