Welcome to 'Its the vinyl countdown' music auctions. Here you will find some of the most incredible rare records and music memorabilia for your collection. You will not see worn covers, warped records or scratched records. We simply do not bother with them.

We play through most of the records, unless the item is clearly mint, or sealed..in which case we don't play them, thus maintaining their 'unplayed' status!  Obviously with some of these rare items there will be the odd 'anomoly' along the way , the odd little static pop or lead in 'sizzle' for a split second.. nothing is perfect we find! all systems differ, but we aim to describe these as accurately as possible for you.... PLEASE ENJOY THIS ITEM YOU ARE NOW LOOKING AT..

THE VINYL   MINT-   INCREDIBLE  CONDITION

As you can see, this vinyl is the higvery early 1973    -2  pressing  - Stored from new this LP has seen possibly a handful of VERY CAREFUL plays only, and remains in pristine condition everywhere. THE VINYL REALLY IS CLOSE TO MINT.

This pressing is a superb vinyl which has retained its amazing glossy sheen and finish. There is some light dulling  and overall it is in incredible condition for an LP of this age. We are seing fewer and fewer copies of this LP in this condition.

A couple of light spider lines around the centre hole, and no wear to the spindle hole whatsoever.

There are a few whisp lines, a couple of the lightest of hairlines and thats it-  nothing else!  Clearly this LP has been archived for many many years, a few little dust specs are on the vinyl when we slid it for checking..IT REMAINS IN ASTONISHING CONDITION.

On playing through we heard nothing bar the tiniest of lead in static in the dead grooves....some light static in a few spots during play..but overall this is easily as clean a copy as we have heard.

A very rare record to see at all these days.. AND THIS ONE PLAYS LIKE A BEAUTY!

OVERALL THIS IS SIMPLY A MUST FOR ANY FINAL UPGRADE COLLECTION. YOU WILL NOT SEE BETTER.

'PINCHED' TAPERED SPINE ENDS & CREDITS ON TOP SLEEVE TOO (As all first sleeves)

PRINTER CREDITS -  'GARROD & LOFTHOUSE'

 This is in SUPER CLEAN condition, quite amazing how it has survived this good

The edges are all super clean with  just the odd tiny trace of rub on the edges , and all colours and inks remain in outstanding condition!

THE BLACK INKS ARE SUPERB AND IT HAS NO WHITE POWDERY RUB ANYWHERE

No  ringwear -just some light ring press,  & no rubbing anywhere -

A few light spider lines on the edge and spine -and some light tip rub

The open edge remains in sharp condition -very little feathering

a couple of light thumb creases on the front and back & there is a dink on the bottom spine, and also a line running next to the spine on the back.

The spine is  superb with just a couple of spots of rub. Has the 'pinched' ends as all first sleeves had (later ones had no pinch and no titles on the top either)

It is not a mint sleeve..we have never seen one that is that good to called MINT! ..as these 'first editions' are delicate sleeves and all suffer the off crease and dink we find. But this is a very nice sleeve mainly as it has no white rub anywhere.

WE CANNOT SAY MORE THAN THIS REALLY IS A CRACKER -AND RARE TO SEE THESE FIRST SLEEVES

Original textured lyric  inner..no wear at all  -no scissoring & further poly sleeve inside.

POSTER  MINT-

Yes it is here, this 36" x 24" poster has never been displayed and is nigh on perfect (it is also the first edition poster..a slightly diferent 'hue' to the yellow than later ones..which were folded so the white was on the outside of the fold..this is the first one, folded picture out)
