Description
This is the original UK LP by WISHBONE ASH, ARGUS 1972 Original Stereo Pressing on the Matt black / Silver MCA label MDKS 8006
Their are quite a few original 1972 UK MCA Pressings of ARGUS, from over 20 years of experience in trading in vinyl records, Ive counted at least 5-6 different label variations of this superb LP, not counting the mid-late 70's re-pressings and beyond. Why im not sure, wheather it was a gimmick that Decca's subsidery label MCA intoduced to promote and encourage sales and collectability, or they were constantley changing label designs throughout 1972, Im not sure. The LP was recorded in January 1972 at De Lane Dea Studio's, LONDON and Released 28th April 1972, so its makes perfect sense that initial pressings started in mid-Febuary 1972 and because of it's popularity, Decca Pressed a number of only slightly later 1972 pressings.
