Description

THE BEATLES ~WITH THE BEATLES ~ PCS 3045 1973? MATRIX NUMBERS YEX 111-4 IRL YEX 110-2 I?? Ok not quite sure what to make of this LP as Matrix numbers seem to indicate that this was pressed around 1973 but the labels dont agree! Also the " DINK" area of the vinyl in the middle is raised slightly on side 2 but not on side 1 ..!! My own feelings having asked collectors in Dublin is that this may have been pressed in Waterford and stored for a while before They moved all pressing to Dublin and labels were added there.Typical of the Irish pressing plant they just used labels left over and order extra when needed or even print there own!(this happened a lot with Jam and Genesis singles) It is a most unusual item and could even be a one off.Maybe beatles collectors can enlighten me!
Label side one has "The Gramaphone Co Ltd" text on label which indicates 1973 (see pic) Label side two has "Emi Records Ltd" text indicating a 1976 label(see pic)
It definatly has IRL stamped in the dead wax on side 2 and what looks like IRL mirrored backwards on side one(see pic)
I believe this was pressed either in Waterford or Dublin but NOT in Northern Ireland. Very very few Beatles records were pressed in the Republic as The Emerald plant pressed most of them in Northern Ireland.
Side One In general EX+ condition with a small mark on track one(not audible)
Side Two In general Mint- condition no marks or scratches.
Labels EX condition
COVER Cover is in General EX condition(a few spine side minor edge creasing)
Happy bidding!
