Description
“WITH THE BEATLES†– 1963 DECCA PRESSING VG+/EX
The Beatles second album pressed by the DECCA Record Company. Due to overwhelming demand for this album in the run up to Christmas 63, the EMI presses were unable to keep up with demand, so they turned to rival DECCA and contracted them to press up a quantity to fulfill demand. These DECCA pressings differ from the regular EMI pressings by way of a central boss, that is evident in the label. This is an indented ridge approximately 15mm from the label outside edge. Due to a confidentiality agreement no quantities of DECCA pressings are known, but it can't be many, as they hardly ever turn up for sale. It’s estimated as probably no more than 5% of total pressings
