WOODSTOCK: 1970 UK 3LP 1st PRESS, BARELY PLAYED MINT-

STUNNING COPY, NM EJ DAY TRI-FOLD SLEEVE, SUPERB SOUND

Woodstock
Music From The Original Soundtrack & More

ORIGINAL UK ATLANTIC (2663 001) FIRST PRESSING (July 1970) OF ''Woodstock - Music From The Original Soundtrack & More'' FEATURING SOME AMAZING LIVE PERFORMANCES FROM THE MOST ICONIC MUSIC FESTIVAL EVER

THIS COPY IS IN EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION - IT'S BARLEY BEEN PLAYED AND THE LABELS ARE BEAUTIFULLY CLEAN AND UNMARKED (with hardly a spindle trace to be seen) AND THE VINYL SURFACES SHINE LIKE-NEW
THE AUDIO DELIVERY IS INCREDIBLY IMPRESSIVE AND ATMOSPHERIC THROUGHOUT - CRYSTAL CLEAR, CLEAN, SHARP AND BRIGHT AND THE CUT IS NICE AND LOUD - FANTASTIC COPY, CERTAINLY THE FINEST I HAVE SEEN OR EVER OFFERED FOR SALE AND VERY, VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED INDEED
IT'S ALSO ONE OF THE EARLIEST FIRST PRESSES WITH A COMPLETE SET OF //1 MATRICES (please see below)

PRESSED ON THREE QUALITY MID/HEAVYWEIGHT RECORDS WITH THE FIRST ISSUE UK RED/PLUM ATLANTIC LABELS
FULL MATRIX SET:
Side 1: 2663 001 A//1 12 3 (stamped), S/1 2402001 (lightly etched)
Side 2: 2663 001 C//1 11 2 (stamped), S/2 2402001 (lightly etched)
Side 3: 2663 001 E//1 11 1 (stamped), (S/3 not visible) 2402002 (lightly etched) - very rare to find the E//1 matrix as virtually ever other copy I have seen has the E//2 matrix in this position
Side 4: 2663 001 F//1 11 1 (stamped), S/4 2402002 (lightly etched)
Side 5: 2663 001 D//1 11 15 (stamped), S/5 22402003 (lightly etched)
Side 6: 2663 001 B//1 12 4 (stamped), S/6 2402003 B (lightly etched)
THE THREE RECORDS ARE HOUSED IN THE ORIGINAL TOP LOADING TRI-FOLD SLEEVE "Printed and made by the E. J. Day Group, London and Bedford”
AND THE SET COMES COMPLETE WITH ALL THREE ORIGINAL POLYDOR COMPANY POLY-LINED INNER SLEEVES WHICH ARE EACH DATE CODED '0670' (June, 1970)

LABELS: The labels are clean, fresh and unmarked with barely any spindles to be seen - this copy has seen very, very little play - NEAR MINT
VINYL Visual: All four vinyl surfaces retain their original deep, like-new glossy sheen and are practically unmarked - MINT-
VINYL Audio: Stunning audio on this first press - crystal clear, clean, bright and fresh and tremendously atmospheric. This set is impressively produced and engineered (and compiled - the tracks fit together perfectly) with a sensational loud cut. On playback at a loud volume there are no audio issues of note - it plays beautifully (and cleanly) from start to finish with practically silent run-ins and track divisions (what there are, as the tracks all segue together seamlessly). A fantastic copy which has barely been played and I guarantee a finer one would be hard to find (I certainly haven't seen one) - critically graded MINT(-) for audio and very, very highly recommended indeed
SLEEVE: The matt, tri-fold, top loading EJ DAY sleeve is also in practically untouched condition - crisp, clean and fresh with no real wear to speak of on the surfaces, edges or spine. Again, an exceptional example - NEAR MINT
and all three of the original Polydor inners are clean and unmarked with no splits - just some light creasing - EXCELLENT

PLEASE HAVE A LOOK AT MY PICTURES - I USUALLY TAKE QUITE A FEW SO YOU CAN GET A CLEAR INDICATION OF EVERY DETAIL OF THE ITEM (I APOLOGISE FOR THE SOMEWHAT OUT-OF-FOCUS PHOTOS ON THE ITEM TODAY BUT IT'S A VERY DULL DAY HERE IN LONDON AND I ONLY EVER USE NATURAL LIGHT FOR MY PHOTOS)
I HAVE UPLOADED AS MANY AS I CAN BUT I WOULD BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO SUPPLY ANY ADDITIONAL PHOTOS ON REQUEST
PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER AUCTIONS FOR MORE RARE AND COLLECTABLE VINYL
