Up for auction here is a very scarce folk record by Woody Guthrie titled 'Talking Dust Bowl' released in 1950. Side I: Dust Bowl Ballads Side II: Migrant Workers' Songs. Comes with rare sought after 12 page booklet! For being 62 years old, the sleeve is in amazing condition with about a 1" split on the left side and light scuffing on the back (see detailed images). The sticker on the front is slightly torn on the bottom right corner and shows ware. The booklet is still intact but shows slight splitting near the top staple and some writing on the 5th page in two places on the typed lyrics for 'Talking Dust Blues' (on the lyric "Picked up speed with a half-in turn, turn" the words "half-in" are crossed out and "hair pin" in its place with the second "turn" crossed out) and ("I was so" is crossed out with "So dad gummed" as its replacement). Whoever owned this record before took it upon themselves to change some of the words, i guess. The record itself shows some very light minimal scuffing but no noticeable scratches that would affect play, the labels are nearly mint with light spindle trails only visible in the light. This is probably one of the top 5 rarest records in folk history and is a very great example in terms of condition, a strong VG+.
