The item is the 1958, first edition, UK pressing of R. WAGNER, Die Walküre, Act 1 in a ( red ) wallet, not the clothbound box. Comes with the original "stereo-tips"- innersleeves and the inlay booklet. I only played the first vinyl, once . The item haven’ t seen the daylight since then.
Records are in pristine condition. There’s only a single scratch on side two of the first record obviously not from a finger but not with a depth that it has been caused by a stylus or else, and does not have any effect when it plays . No clicks, no surface noise or hiss. And the second vinyl in both faces is nearly in the same condition the first day they were pressed.
The inlay booklet is graded NM, because of very faint and few spots from age, which are only on it’ s front page. The rest about the booklet is mint, not even the trace of a slightest bend on any of the corners or a crinkle.
The cover is graded VG+, not because of a damage but because of a deformation, that the sleeve is bending outwards on the spot where it opens to let the records in, due to it’ s age. The sleeve is made of a ( protective ) pvc kind of material, that runs also on the inside ( which is transparent ) as well as on the out of it ( which is red ), enclosing a cardboard inside on both the front and rear faces. There is a one inch split, only on where the two plastic parts of the rear face come together on the opening, that can only be seen from the side view, since the day I have it.
