Wagner Wesendonk Arias Regine Crespin UK HMV ASD 553
Original British Label Cream and Gold HMV
On "Regine Crespin sings Wagner", Regine Crespin with the Paris Conservatoire Orchestra conducted by Georges Pretre performs "Wesendonk" Lieder, and extracts from "Parsifal", "Die Walkurie", and "Lohengrin". An English stereo pressing on the HMV Label (ASD 553), the labels are cream and gold with plum lettering, and a shaded dog logo. The record is of excellent appearance and plays and sounds superb with only occasional surface noise. The cover laminate has rubbed badly with a ring and some creases along the spine and top left-hand corner. Notes are included.
