Description

The Wailers Catch a Fire
 original limited issue in Zippo style flip top cover vinyl and sleeve in Excellent condition

 Excellent original pressing of the classic Bob Marley & The Wailers LP “Catch a Fire”

Released by Island Records in 1973 #ILPS-9241, Palm tree island label housed in the original hinged lighter cover

This is one of only 20,000 copies island records label head Chris Blackwell had commissioned. The designers conceived a cover modeled on a Zippo cigarette lighter, which has a hinged top.

Each copy had to be hand-assembled. Since this was hardly cost-effective, a more standard design was substituted after the first shipment.

Sleeve is in very good shape the rivit and hinge very strong only minor signs of wear at the top seame
