Description

Walt Dickerson (with Andrew Cyrille, Andrew Hill, George Tucker) TO MY QUEEN Prestige New Jazz 8283 Mono.  Silver-on-purple label, recorded 1962. Not deep groove; “VAN GELDER” stamped into wax. Very quiet record, has a lot of prestige imperfect-surface noise to contend with. Though it sounded exactly this way coming off the line in 1963, I’m grading it VG++.  Jacket is NM-, just the tiniest wear here and there.


Here’s the fourth of about 50 batches of records from a fastidious NY-area collector with excellent taste. One owner since release in most cases. Very many of these were played either very little or very carefully. They’ve been carefully play-graded as well.  Low starts, as you can see, and almost no reserves. Bid with confidence.
