Description

Rare and tough to find demonstration disc by Walter Carlos (soon to be Wendy Carlos). This is the 1969 version of this promo record, with light blue labels; both sides contain the same exact music and narration. Condition appears to be near mint but would be conservatively graded at VG++. Paper sleeve is generic, one side is clean white but the other has faded considerably to a light tan, and has a tear near center hole. (Please note that, again, this is a plain sleeve that can be exchanged with no "matching" issues). Tracks are excerpts from "Switched On Bach".
Backstory: This was found in a recycling store, in a plain cardboard folded box with a few other copies of the same vinyl record, no labels on box but handwritten on two sides were "Moog Demo Records" and "Walter Carlos Moog Records". I do not know if this was the original box that held these records for the salesman or agent that demo'd them. Note that box is not included in this auction but noted for background authenticity. Bob Moog has stated that this was indeed a promo for the Moog Synthesizer and was freely given out to people interested in it, and was never sold or marketed by his company.
